Many people in different parts of the world argue if it is appropriate to place a photo on a resume. Some say that it isn't a good practice because it encourages discrimination. They say that employers will favor an applicant because of the way he or she looks on the photo. The applicant may also be chosen because of her race and not because of her true potential as a housekeeper. Judgement on the age and gender might also take effect. These are some of the risk factors of placing a photo on a resume.
This may be true sometimes but not all of the time. If you are going to place a passport sized housekeeper picture on your resume, it will help the potential employers keep track of the applicants. For that reason, it can help a lot.
Most housekeeping employers nowadays prefer resumes with pictures. They would want to know ahead how an applicant looks like. Especially when they are living in an area that needs high security. To some employers, it will be better to read resumes without pictures so that their decision would not be affected with how the applicant looks. The picture can be forwarded afterwards.
Placing pictures on your housekeeper resume would really depend on your employer. If he asks for it; then, do so. However, there are also employers that would not want to see at first how an applicant looks like. They select a few and ask them to come for a personal interview. And then, that's when they will decide.
